A freehouse serving different ales each week yet possessing an Italian coffee machine too, the pub seems prepared for anything...
[Local Secrets Review]

A lovely little pub with good hearty cooking.

This pub is a traditional house, sixteenth century oak beamed bar with open fire and real ale in a tankard if this is what you like.
But the real feature is the home cooking...

Ordering the Sunday lunch proves fortuitous as it's the best we've had in ages: tender slices of roast beef, roast potatoes,
Yorkshire pudding, velvety smooth mashed potato, nice crunchy vegetables and cauliflower cheese.

Despite arriving surprisingly fast, roast dinners in pubs rarely have this much taste.

...a home from home and the ideal place to enjoy a meal with friends or family...
[Food & Drink Guide, Cambridge]

The Three Tuns manages to offer a varied menu - including both British and Spanish dishes - without losing any of its traditional charm.  Reasonably priced and focused on the community it serves, it provides a reminder of just how good an English pub can be.

The starter of prawns was cooked to perfection. My partner who had the lamb for main said it was the best cooked lamb she had tasted for a long time.  I had the homemade steak and ale pie and could not fault it.

The Three Tuns is a traditional country pub, built in 1643 of wooden beams from ships of the era and lathe and plaster with a wonderful thatched roof. However, following a fire in the early 1900's a red brick exterior and tiled roof covered the original building, giving the external appearance that you see today.

On venturing inside you discover a rustic charm unchanged by time, complete with original wooden beams, tiled floors and inglenook fireplaces with log burner. The main bar and cosy restaurant project an ambience of warmth & comfort; the ideal place  to enjoy meal or drink with friends and family or to celebrate a special occasion.

Real Ale and an excellent range of  fine wines complement the menu of traditional British & authentic Spanish dishes at reasonable prices. The emphasis on is on home cooked food using quality ingredients, all cooked by Sue the cook and landlady who gained her culinary experience in Spain. Look out for special events. which are held regularly.

The Three Tuns offers quality dining whilst retaining its traditional country charm, being a dog friendly pub all the family can enjoy a day out. Throughout the week the pub also host's traditional pub activities such as cribbage pool and darts.
